About the role

Genesys is seeking a UI‑focused Software Development Engineer to join its Work Automation team in Galway. You will create AI‑enhanced, scalable web experiences using Angular, collaborating with designers and product managers to deliver intuitive interfaces for agents and administrators.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain Angular applications and reusable UI components.
  • Own feature delivery from design through implementation, testing, deployment and production support.
  • Write clean, well‑tested code with emphasis on quality, performance, accessibility and security.
  • Debug and resolve technical issues independently, leveraging telemetry and operational data.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
  • Integrate front‑end applications with RESTful APIs and cloud services.

Eligibility

  • Approximately 2+ years of professional software development experience, primarily on web or UI projects.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript and modern component frameworks (Angular preferred).
  • Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design and accessibility standards.
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with unit testing, source control, CI/CD pipelines and software engineering fundamentals.
  • Effective communication and collaborative mindset when working with UX designers, product managers and other engineers.
