Software Engineer

About the role

PlayPower Labs is hiring fresh graduates for a fully remote Software Engineer position. The role focuses on building real EdTech products using modern web technologies, AI‑assisted development tools, and secure coding practices. Candidates will work in a small, high‑energy team, delivering features end‑to‑end while continuously learning new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement product features using Angular or React on the frontend and Java or Node.js on the backend.
• Review your own code and AI‑generated code to ensure quality and security.
• Apply security‑first principles such as authentication, authorization, input validation, and secret management.
• Leverage AI coding assistants, agents, and MCP workflows to accelerate development, debugging, and testing.
• Collaborate remotely with a small engineering team, sharing ideas to improve product and workflow.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver them with speed and high quality.

Eligibility

• Fresh graduate or early‑career candidate with a strong programming foundation.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and Git.
• Practical exposure to Angular or React through projects, internships or coursework.
• Basic understanding of backend development with Java or Node.js.
• Familiarity with APIs, databases and version control.
• Interest in UI/UX, security basics, cloud concepts and AI‑assisted development.
