Application Software Engineer 1

About the role

Oracle is hiring Application Software Engineers 1 in Bangalore for fresh graduates and early‑career candidates (0‑2+ years). The role focuses on developing, debugging and enhancing software applications, building SQL‑based reports, and supporting releases within a healthcare‑oriented data model.

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug and design software applications according to specifications.
• Build enhancements within existing architecture and suggest improvements.
• Design and develop new reports using SQL and process data for business needs.
• Gather requirements, estimate work, and plan tasks.
• Handle client calls, collaborate with stakeholders, and participate in technical design discussions.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, document resolutions, and support software releases.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree (B.E/B.Tech or related fields such as Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.).
• 0–2+ years of experience; freshers are welcome.
• Strong foundation in SQL, PL/SQL, DBMS, and programming concepts.

Skills

• SQL, PL/SQL, Database Management Systems.
• Programming in Python, Java or C++.
• Git version control, unit testing, debugging.
• Data analysis and report development.
