Senior Software Engineer - UI

About the role

Ontic is looking for a senior UI engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex, high‑performance web interfaces for its security SaaS platform. You will shape frontend architecture, mentor junior developers, and collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to create seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of sophisticated frontend features using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Translate vague product ideas into scalable, maintainable UI components and architecture.
• Own end‑to‑end feature delivery, from design through production rollout.
• Integrate frontend code with backend APIs and contribute to BFF or API‑layer changes.
• Establish coding standards, conduct code reviews, and improve test coverage, performance and accessibility.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical discussions across teams.

Eligibility

• 5‑7 years of professional software engineering experience, primarily frontend.
• Proven expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML and CSS.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, state management and performance optimization.
• Experience with REST APIs and basic backend concepts.
• Ability to work independently, drive initiatives and communicate decisions clearly.
