About the role

Emerson is looking for a Software Test Engineer in Pune to design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs, while also performing comprehensive manual testing. Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs.
  • Perform manual and automated functional, regression, integration, performance, smoke and API testing.
  • Support and maintain laboratory facilities and test infrastructure used by global engineering teams.
  • Investigate, document and track software defects using bug‑tracking tools.
  • Review and validate technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional and global teams to improve testing effectiveness.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation or a related technical field.
  • Experience in manual and automation testing of software applications.
  • Strong understanding of test planning, test case creation, execution and defect management.
  • Hands‑on experience with Selenium, Katalon or similar automation tools.
  • Proficiency in REST API testing using Postman or comparable tools.
  • Programming knowledge in C#, C++ or Java for test automation.
