About the role

nference is looking for a Software Engineer to join its backend team in Bangalore. You will design, develop, and maintain API‑driven services that power AI‑enabled healthcare platforms, working under senior guidance while adhering to security and data‑privacy standards.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain clean backend code for services and APIs.
• Develop, deploy, and monitor assigned components, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Design data models, write database queries, and implement logging and error handling.
• Create and maintain unit tests and verification suites to guarantee release quality.
• Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and cross‑functional design discussions.
• Document features, technical decisions, and follow secure coding practices.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and object‑oriented design.
• Proficiency in Python or Go and experience building RESTful APIs.
• Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL and version control (Git).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and basic application security.
