AI Software Engineer Intern

About the role

Electronic Arts is looking for a motivated AI Software Engineer Intern to join its Quality Verification team in Hyderabad. The six‑month hybrid internship blends software engineering, test automation, and AI‑assisted quality engineering, giving you hands‑on experience building automation frameworks and evaluating AI‑generated test outputs for game production.

Responsibilities

• Partner with QA engineers as an embedded software engineer to support testing cycles for game features.
• Learn, maintain, and extend existing automation frameworks used across the studio.
• Design and write automation scripts that increase test coverage and cut down repetitive manual testing.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to overall software quality initiatives.
• Explore practical AI‑driven workflows for generating and validating test cases.
• Assist in assessing the correctness and usefulness of AI‑generated outputs.

Eligibility

• Pursuing a B.E., B.Tech, B.Sc or equivalent technical degree, preferably Computer Science.
• Completed coursework or projects involving test automation, AI/ML, data analysis, API testing or mobile testing.
• Familiarity with Git and basic version‑control operations.
• Exposure to automated build pipelines, logs, telemetry or test‑reporting tools.
• Understanding of object‑oriented programming concepts.
• Basic knowledge of Java, JavaScript or Python demonstrated through projects.
• Optional: experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) or Linux/Ubuntu environments.
