Senior Staff Engineer React Native Mobile App Developer

About the role

As a Senior Staff Engineer at Nagarro in Bangalore, you will own the end‑to‑end architecture of enterprise‑grade cross‑platform mobile applications. Leveraging React Native, Expo, and emerging Agentic AI techniques, you will deliver high‑performance iOS and Android experiences that meet strict security, accessibility, and scalability standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain performant React Native mobile apps using Expo and modern tooling.
• Lead the creation of reusable UI components and large‑scale design systems.
• Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, manage state with Redux/Redux Toolkit or alternative solutions.
• Drive performance profiling, caching strategies, and accessibility compliance (AA/WCAG).
• Oversee build, signing, and release pipelines for both App Store and Google Play.
• Collaborate with product, UI/UX, and backend teams to translate requirements into polished mobile experiences.
• Utilize Agentic AI to accelerate development, documentation, and testing workflows.
• Write and maintain automated tests with Jest, React Native Testing Library, Maestro, or Appium.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
• Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices across the mobile squad.

Eligibility

• 7.5+ years of professional experience in UI/Frontend engineering, preferably in enterprise or product environments.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Proven expertise in React Native, Expo, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.
• Strong grasp of React fundamentals, hooks, context API, and component lifecycle.
• Hands‑on experience with state‑management libraries such as Redux/Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or MobX.
• Familiarity with iOS/Android deployment processes, signing, and store guidelines.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git/GitHub, and automated testing frameworks.
