About the role

Microsoft's Copilot Search team is looking for a mid‑level engineer to create AI‑driven search experiences. You will work on responsive, accessible front‑ends built with React and TypeScript that run on web, desktop and mobile hosts.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and ship end‑to‑end features in React/TypeScript, handling performance, localization and accessibility.
  • Implement server‑side rendering, hydration, early data fetching and bundle‑size optimizations to reduce latency.
  • Integrate AI‑generated answers, streaming responses and citation handling into the UI.
  • Instrument telemetry, define success metrics and run A/B experiments for data‑driven decisions.
  • Own feature reliability, including monitoring, alerting and on‑call incident response.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers and backend engineers to turn ideas into polished experiences.
