About the role

Logitech is looking for a Hardware Test Automation Engineer in Chennai to design, develop, and maintain Python‑based test frameworks that validate consumer‑electronics products. You will work with lab equipment, automate test sequences, and collaborate with validation engineers to ensure product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance Python test automation frameworks using Pytest.
  • Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for hardware validation.
  • Integrate oscilloscopes, power supplies, USB analyzers and other lab tools into automated setups.
  • Perform manual testing and assist in creating detailed test plans.
  • Troubleshoot failures in test code, hardware setups, and electronic interfaces.
  • Document test procedures, results, and contribute to knowledge‑base articles.

Eligibility

  • 3–6 years of experience in software testing, automation, or embedded systems validation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and clear English communication skills.
  • Team‑oriented mindset with willingness to learn from senior engineers.

Skills

  • Proficient in Python programming.
  • Experience with Pytest framework (preferred).
  • Version control using Git.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of electronics fundamentals and test‑bench assembly.
  • Familiarity with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, USB analyzers, power supplies, and multimeters.
  • Understanding of communication protocols like UART, USB, Ethernet, and Bluetooth.
