About the role

Intel is seeking a Platform Hardware Design Engineer to create and refine electronic components, printed circuit boards and integrated circuits for advanced hardware platforms. The role involves translating system requirements into detailed circuit specifications and delivering reliable boards that meet cross‑disciplinary standards.

Responsibilities

  • Convert platform‑level needs into component‑level designs and specifications.
  • Design, develop, modify and evaluate PCBs, integrated circuits and other electronic parts.
  • Perform logical PCB design, including schematic capture and trace routing.
  • Lead board‑layout activities from feasibility studies through tape‑out while satisfying multidisciplinary constraints.
  • Analyze BOM cost and availability, balancing trade‑offs at board and system levels.
  • Collaborate with architects, verification engineers, technicians and other stakeholders for power‑on and debug activities.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 4+ years of hardware design experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years, or a PhD with no prior professional experience.
  • Proficiency in electrical schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
  • Hands‑on experience designing PCBs, integrated circuitry and related components.
