Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack

About the role

LinkedIn is looking for a senior full‑stack engineer to design, build and scale high‑volume, user‑centric applications. The position is hybrid, based in Bangalore, and requires strong expertise in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern UI frameworks. You will lead technical decisions, mentor junior talent and contribute to LinkedIn’s learning platform.

Responsibilities

• Scale distributed applications, making architectural trade‑offs using synchronous and asynchronous patterns.
• Develop multi‑tier, high‑performance services that run 24/7.
• Write clean, unit‑tested code and ensure continuous integration through regular check‑ins.
• Provide technical leadership for large‑scale, cross‑functional programs.
• Identify and promote engineering productivity improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience building backend services in Java.
• Strong web development skills with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience with modern UI frameworks such as React or EmberJS.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
