Fresher Software Engineer

About the role

DigitalXNode is hiring fresh graduates for a full‑time Software Engineer position in Gurgaon. The role offers hands‑on experience across the software development lifecycle, including backend development, web technologies, APIs, databases, cloud basics and Agile practices. Candidates will work under senior engineers, contribute to real product features and grow their coding expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain software applications under senior guidance.
• Write clean, efficient code following coding standards and best practices.
• Assist in building backend services, web applications and RESTful APIs.
• Participate in debugging, troubleshooting and fixing software defects.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, analysts and project managers in Agile ceremonies.
• Support feature development, code reviews, documentation and release activities.

Eligibility

• B.Tech / BE in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Electronics or related fields.
• BCA or B.Sc in Computer Science / IT.
• Post‑graduate degrees (MCA, M.Tech, M.Sc) are preferred but not mandatory.
• Fresh graduates with strong academic projects, internships, coding competitions or open‑source contributions.

Skills

• Proficiency in at least one language: Java, C++, Python, C# or JavaScript.
• Understanding of object‑oriented programming and core data structures & algorithms.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with REST API concepts and web fundamentals (HTML5, CSS3).
• Version control using Git/GitHub.
• Awareness of Agile/Scrum processes and secure coding practices.
