Software Development Engineer III - Frontend

About the role

Hiver is seeking a senior frontend engineer to lead the design and delivery of high‑performance web applications that serve millions of daily emails. You will own end‑to‑end development, mentor a team, and shape the technical direction of the product while collaborating closely with product, design, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain responsive frontend systems across multiple form factors, handling the full development lifecycle from code to deployment.
• Define and evolve engineering standards, tooling, and processes to ensure high code quality and fast time‑to‑market.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate user journeys into intuitive, performant interfaces.
• Lead architectural decisions, optimize performance, and establish monitoring frameworks for frontend health.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and drive best practices in testing and debugging.
• Identify ambiguous requirements early, propose clear solutions, and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Eligibility

• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience building complex frontend applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Vue.js (core framework)
• SASS, TailwindCSS, Material‑UI or equivalent CSS solutions
• Strong understanding of design patterns and clean code principles
• Data structures, algorithms, and software design fundamentals
