Software Engineer

About the role

Light & Wonder is hiring a Software Engineer to join its Chennai team. The role involves creating, testing, and deploying C# Unity applications for gaming experiences. Candidates will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with product owners and project managers, and will earn an estimated 8‑12 LPA.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and release software applications using C# with Unity.
• Work with project managers, product owners, and stakeholders to outline requirements, schedules, and deliverables.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from planning through maintenance.
• Detect and resolve technical issues and risks promptly to keep timelines on track.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies and assess their relevance to projects.

Eligibility

• Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• Possess 1‑4 years of professional experience developing software, particularly with C# Unity.
• Demonstrate solid understanding of C# and its development tools.
• Experience with agile practices, SDLC, and project management utilities.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment handling multiple projects.
