Senior Front End Developer

About the role

Intercontinental Exchange is looking for a senior front‑end engineer to create and maintain high‑performance, enterprise‑grade graphical user interfaces for its financial trading platforms. The role involves turning complex UI/UX designs into robust React applications, ensuring scalability, accessibility, and seamless integration with Java‑based back‑ends.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and sustain large‑scale, data‑intensive GUIs using React, TypeScript and modern web standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, backend engineers and QA to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Convert UI/UX mockups into production‑ready code while maintaining performance and accessibility.
• Integrate front‑end components with Java Spring Boot services and consume RESTful APIs.
• Lead code reviews, mentor peers and enforce best‑practice standards.
• Diagnose and resolve UI performance, stability and usability issues.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience building production‑grade front‑end applications.

Skills

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript and React.
• Deep knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and responsive design.
• Experience with data‑grid libraries such as AG‑Grid and charting tools like ECharts.
• Familiarity with state‑management solutions (Redux, MobX, Zustand, etc.).
• Hands‑on experience with Electron or similar desktop‑hybrid runtimes.
• Proficient with Git and modern version‑control workflows.
