About the role

Intel is looking for an experienced engineer to design, develop, and support custom EDA infrastructure and automation for semiconductor test‑chip projects. The role focuses on creating layout generation tools, managing design libraries, and optimizing verification flows across advanced nodes.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain automation frameworks using SKILL, Python and scripting for layout and library management.
  • Enable and validate CAD environments, version‑control systems and database infrastructures.
  • Collaborate with design, process, technology and validation teams to deliver end‑to‑end test‑chip integration.
  • Develop and optimise DRC/LVS verification flows and support silicon readiness activities.
  • Apply software development best practices such as testing, code reviews and quality assurance.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 10 years of experience in CAD software development, VLSI or design enablement.
  • Strong problem‑solving, teamwork and communication abilities.

Skills

  • Proficiency in SKILL, Python, TCL/Perl programming.
  • Knowledge of VLSI concepts and major EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys).
  • Understanding of custom layout, data structures and algorithm optimisation.
  • Familiarity with version‑control, testing and QA processes.
