About the role

Honeywell is looking for an Embedded Engineer I to develop safety‑critical gas and flame detection systems. The role involves designing embedded firmware, FPGA‑based data acquisition, and laser driver control while complying with functional safety standards such as IEC 61508 SIL‑2.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering.
  • 0‑3 years of experience or fresh graduate with strong interest in embedded and control systems.
  • Familiarity with functional safety standards (IEC 61508, EN 60079‑29‑1) is a plus.

Skills

  • Proficiency in C, C++, and Python programming.
  • Experience with embedded development tools such as IAR Embedded Workbench, Eclipse, or MPLAB.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of SPI, I2C, timers, watchdogs, and other wired communication protocols.
  • Understanding of FPGA design using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog and related verification tools.
