About the role

Gartner is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead and enhance the Mac and mobile device ecosystem across the company. The role involves scripting, automation, and device management for a global fleet, working within a hybrid environment to support both corporate and personal iOS, Android, and macOS devices.

Responsibilities

  • Support and troubleshoot a worldwide fleet of iOS, Android, and macOS devices.
  • Manage escalated incidents through ServiceNow and coordinate with the team.
  • Administer devices via MDM/UEM platforms such as Workspace ONE and Intune.
  • Develop, test, and deploy scripts and automation using Bash, Zsh, PowerShell, Python, and Swift.
  • Maintain source control for scripts in Git or Bitbucket and package macOS software.
  • Create documentation, knowledge‑base articles, and training materials for internal help‑desk staff.

Eligibility

  • Minimum four years of experience managing macOS, iOS, and Android devices in an enterprise setting.
  • Strong scripting or development background.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Skills

  • Device management with MDM/UEM tools (Workspace ONE, Intune, Apple Business Manager).
  • Scripting languages: Bash, Zsh, PowerShell, Python, Swift.
  • Version control using Git or Bitbucket.
  • ServiceNow incident handling and ITIL change management.
  • Reporting and analytics with PowerBI or Splunk.
