Network Engineer I

About the role

Expedia Group is seeking a Network Engineer I to manage, design, and scale large-scale cloud and enterprise networks across global data centers.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations across enterprise and data center networks
• Assist in implementing and validating network configuration changes and new architecture designs
• Perform routine maintenance operations, including software upgrades and resource patching
• Monitor intake channels, troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues, and escalate complex incidents

Eligibility

• 0-2 years of hands-on technical exposure in network engineering, infrastructure support, or a related technical role
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent field
• Foundational industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA, Arista ACE Level 1, AWS Foundational, or equivalent cloud/networking credentials

Skills

• Practical network implementation experience
• Cloud knowledge, including public or hybrid cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP)
• Fundamental understanding of core routing and switching concepts
• Ability to configure enterprise-grade network hardware
• Basic familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, or PowerShell)
