Associate Consultant – Business Consulting Risk (AMI) – Ahmedabad

About the role

EY is looking for an Associate Consultant to join its Business Consulting Risk team in Ahmedabad. The role focuses on internal audit, risk advisory and control assessments within the Advanced Manufacturing, Mobility & Infrastructure (AMI) sector. You will work under senior guidance, develop a solid understanding of client processes, and contribute to delivering risk‑focused insights that help organisations achieve their strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Support senior staff in delivering internal audit, risk advisory and control assessment projects.
• Gain insight into client business processes and objectives to pinpoint key risks and control points.
• Assist with walkthroughs, document reviews and testing activities to evaluate the effectiveness of controls.
• Analyse financial, operational and transactional data to surface trends, exceptions and potential concerns.
• Prepare working papers, process flow diagrams, risk‑and‑control matrices and other engagement artefacts following EY methodology.
• Help review client policies, procedures and practices against internal standards and industry best practices.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities while committing to continuous learning.

Eligibility

• Graduates with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• 0‑2 years of relevant experience in technical roles, governance, risk & compliance or internal audit.
• Ability to work collaboratively across client teams and adapt to a fast‑paced consulting environment.
