Apprentice - Accounting/Finance

About the role

State Street’s Global Accounting Operations is seeking an Apprentice in Accounting/Finance for its Specialized Accounting team in Bangalore. The role supports accounting for non‑hedging FX derivatives, loans, repo transactions and monthly close, while contributing to process improvement and automation projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records for non‑hedging FX derivatives, loans, and repo/reverse‑repo transactions.
• Assist in the monthly financial close process, including SEC and regulatory reporting for assigned products.
• Support process re‑engineering, standardisation, and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with full‑time staff on day‑to‑day Business As Usual activities.

Eligibility

• Graduating in 2025 or 2026 with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Strong foundational accounting knowledge and basic finance concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, formulas) and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with data‑analytics or BI tools such as Tableau or Spotfire is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated and able to work both independently and within a team.
