About the role

EY is looking for an Associate Consultant to join its Business Consulting Risk team in Ahmedabad. You will work within the Advanced Manufacturing, Mobility & Infrastructure (AMI) practice, helping clients identify, assess and mitigate operational and financial risks. The position offers exposure to internal audit, risk advisory and control assessment projects across diverse industries.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior consultants in delivering internal audit, risk advisory and control assessment engagements.
  • Gain familiarity with client business processes and identify key risk points and control gaps.
  • Support walkthroughs, documentation reviews and testing activities to evaluate control effectiveness.
  • Analyse financial and operational data to spot trends, exceptions and potential issues.
  • Prepare working papers, process flow diagrams, risk‑and‑control matrices and other engagement artefacts following EY methodology.
  • Contribute to policy and procedure reviews, ensuring alignment with internal standards and best practices.

Eligibility

  • Graduation in B.Com, M.Com, B.Tech (Computer Science or Mechanical) or M.Tech (Civil) or equivalent.
  • 0‑2 years of relevant experience in technical, governance, risk & compliance or internal audit functions.
  • Strong analytical mindset with good problem‑solving abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn continuously and adapt to a fast‑changing environment.
