About the role

Databricks is seeking a senior frontend engineer for its New York City office to design and build cutting‑edge GenAI user interfaces. You will work in a 0‑to‑1 product team, shaping new AI‑driven experiences from concept to launch while collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering peers.

Responsibilities

Invent and implement novel UI components for GenAI agents that keep users in control.
Partner with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver intuitive, extensible products.
Lead hands‑on front‑end and full‑stack development, including direct customer interactions.
Drive product‑led growth through seamless onboarding and sharing features.
Shape the future of agentic applications by aligning technical strategy with business goals.

Eligibility

Minimum 10 years of experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (or equivalent).
Proven product mindset: turn ambiguous problems into MVPs and iterate based on data.
Strong ownership and bias for action in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments.
Excellent collaboration skills across product, engineering, and design.
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.
Familiarity with server‑side technologies (Node.js), SQL and Spark.
