About the role

HighLevel is looking for a senior frontend leader to own the entire visual experience of its commerce platform. You will define architecture, set standards, and mentor a growing team while collaborating closely with the central frontend platform to ensure consistency across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Publish and enforce a commerce‑wide frontend standard covering architecture, state management, data fetching, testing, accessibility, and performance.
  • Instrument real‑user monitoring for core web vitals (LCP, INP, CLS) on every commerce surface and drive metric‑based improvements.
  • Map and align the roadmap of the central frontend platform with commerce needs, establishing clear contracts and design review processes.
  • Deliver a modular, independent deployment architecture for commerce teams, integrating performance and bundle budgets into CI pipelines.
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, and mentorship of the first commerce frontend engineers.
  • Champion accessibility by embedding automated checks and manual WCAG 2.2 AA audits into the development workflow.

Eligibility

  • 9+ years of experience building large‑scale frontend systems.
  • Proven track record delivering commerce storefronts, checkout flows, or point‑of‑sale interfaces at scale.
  • Experience creating and evolving a design system used by multiple product teams.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of ConnectRPC, gRPC‑Web, or protocol buffers in the browser.
  • Ability to read and write Go for backend‑for‑frontend implementations.
  • Active contributions to open‑source projects or web standards discussions.
