About the role

Cisco is hiring a Software Consulting Engineer for its Customer Experience unit in Bangalore. The position is full‑time and hybrid, targeting 2027 graduates who will work with large service‑provider and enterprise customers on software‑defined and automation solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to gather requirements and drive IT transformation projects.
  • Deliver end‑to‑end solutions, from early design through implementation and execution.
  • Collaborate with senior software engineers and architects on cloud‑native tools, platforms and SaaS applications.
  • Influence stakeholders and coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Apply programming and scripting skills to build and customize solutions.

Eligibility

  • Recent graduate or final‑year student with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • Must belong to the 2027 pass‑out batch.
  • Strong foundation in computer‑science fundamentals and software engineering.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Skills

  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and object‑oriented design.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
  • Experience with cloud‑native development using Docker, Kubernetes and AWS.
  • Programming expertise in languages such as Java, Python, Scala and Go.
  • Comfort working across multiple development environments.
