About the role

CGI is inviting applications for the Apprentice role at its Bangalore location. This role is a fantastic opportunity for B.Tech graduates to dive into production support, application deployment, and database administration within one of the world’s largest IT and business consulting services firms.

Responsibilities

• Production Support: Actively monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain live enterprise applications and systems to ensure high availability.
• Application Deployment: Assist in the seamless rollout and deployment of software updates, patches, and new application features.
• Database Management: Perform fundamental database administration tasks, ensuring efficient data flow and structural integrity.
• Issue Resolution: Identify technical bottlenecks, document system errors, and collaborate with senior engineers to implement permanent fixes.
• Shift Operations: Participate actively in rotational shifts and be prepared to work extended hours as dictated by production support requirements.

Eligibility

• Must be a B.Tech Graduate from a recognized university or institution.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact effectively with global teams and document support tickets.
• Fundamental understanding of application development lifecycles, database structures, and system administration.
• Work flexibility and willingness to work in diverse roles involving rotational shifts and extended hours to cover global support windows.
