Company Secretary & Legal Intern

About the role

Cactus Communications is seeking a Company Secretary & Legal Intern based in Mumbai. The hybrid position offers hands‑on experience with statutory compliance, corporate governance, and legal operations for both Indian and global entities within a science‑focused, AI‑driven organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing Companies Act, 2013 compliance for Indian entities, including board meetings, filings, statutory registers, and resolutions.
• Handle event‑based filings under the Companies Act and FEMA, such as APR filing, ODI reporting, and RBI submissions.
• Maintain regulatory and legal records and support audits and due‑diligence activities.
• Gain exposure to international compliance requirements for group entities in the US, UK, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, and other jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional and global teams to streamline compliance operations.

Eligibility

• Recently completed the Company Secretary (CS) course with a 6‑9 month internship component.
• Pursuing or having completed an LL.B. is preferred.
• Basic understanding of corporate law, secretarial standards, FEMA, and the Companies Act.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail, organizational ability, and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
