About the role
Barclays is looking for a Test Automation Engineer in Pune to design, develop and run automated testing solutions that verify software functionality, performance and user experience. The role works closely with developers, product owners and other stakeholders to spot defects early and continuously raise the quality bar.
Responsibilities
- Create end‑to‑end test plans and strategies that align with Barclays’ quality standards.
- Build and maintain automated test scripts using industry‑standard frameworks and tools.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements, shape acceptance criteria and contribute to design discussions.
- Perform root‑cause analysis on defects and collaborate with developers to drive timely resolution.
- Participate in code reviews, share knowledge and promote a culture of testing excellence.
- Stay current with emerging testing technologies and contribute to internal technical communities.
