About the role

Barclays is looking for a skilled Infrastructure Cloud and DevOps Engineer to design, build and operate reliable, scalable and secure infrastructure platforms. The role focuses on automation, cloud services and continuous delivery while collaborating with product teams and data scientists.

Responsibilities

Develop, deliver and maintain high‑quality infrastructure solutions that meet business needs.
Monitor systems, detect incidents and drive down mean time to resolution.
Automate repetitive tasks using scripting and code to improve efficiency.
Implement secure configurations and protect infrastructure from cyber threats.
Work closely with product managers, architects and engineers to define requirements and ensure seamless integration.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and share knowledge within the team.

Skills

Hands‑on experience with Helm, Kubernetes and Terraform.
Understanding of service mesh, OpenTelemetry and observability dashboards.
Proficiency with AWS cloud services.
Programming/scripting ability, preferably in Go, Java or Python.
