About the role

As a Domain QA Engineer for AVEVA Process Simulation, you will apply your chemical engineering background to verify that simulation features behave as expected. Working in a hybrid setting from the Hyderabad office, you will partner with product, development and support teams to deliver high‑quality releases for industrial customers.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute and validate domain‑driven test cases for new and existing APS features.
  • Review requirements, spot risks and define acceptance criteria during feature grooming.
  • Design and maintain regression, functional and validation test suites.
  • Compare simulation outputs with physical expectations, engineering heuristics and benchmark cases.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners and domain experts to meet release timelines.
  • Assist customers and support engineers with issue triage and resolution.

Eligibility

  • BE/B.Tech (or higher) in Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in domain QA, process engineering validation, or testing of engineering software.
  • Experience in process design, preferably in refining or oil & gas, is a strong plus.

Skills

  • Strong fundamentals of chemical engineering and process equipment.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of simulation tools such as HYSYS, Aspen Plus or PRO/II.
  • Ability to script test automation using Python, PowerShell, TypeScript or C#.
  • Familiarity with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar).
  • Analytical troubleshooting and clear communication for cross‑functional collaboration.
