About the role

Amazon is looking for a Data Engineer Intern to join its fast‑moving data team in India. The intern will help design, build and maintain data pipelines and warehouses that power business insights, collaborating with analysts, managers and software engineers across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

Design and implement analytical data platform solutions for reporting and decision‑making.
Create and manage data schemas, operating SQL/NoSQL databases and data‑lake components such as S3 and Hadoop.
Develop ETL processes using AWS services like EMR, Redshift, Glue, Lambda and explore new AWS capabilities.
Work with Spark, Hive, Impala and other Hadoop‑based SQL tools to transform large datasets.
Partner with cross‑functional teams to extract, load and validate data from diverse sources.
Document data models, ensure data integrity and contribute to self‑service analytics tools.
