About the role
Altera Digital Health is looking for a Systems Engineer to manage and improve its internal healthcare application platform. The role focuses on Kubernetes‑based deployments, CI/CD pipeline upkeep, infrastructure automation, platform reliability, and cost efficiency, all while adhering to security and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, upgrade, and maintain healthcare applications on Kubernetes using Helm charts and standard patterns.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
- Automate provisioning and routine tasks through Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Monitor platform health, respond to alerts, perform root‑cause analysis, and keep runbooks up to date.
- Identify manual processes and create automation to boost efficiency.
- Implement cost‑saving measures such as rightsizing resources and optimizing autoscaling.
Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Systems, DevOps, or Platform Engineering.
- Hands‑on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerised workloads.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Experience with a cloud platform, preferably Azure.
Skills
- Kubernetes and Helm chart management.
- Containerisation with Docker.
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Ansible.
- Scripting in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins).
- Cloud services on Azure or comparable platforms.
