About Myntra
Myntra is an Indian fashion-and-lifestyle e-commerce company headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Founded in February 2007 by Mukesh Bansal, Ashutosh Lawania, and Vineet Saxena, the company initially focused on personalised gift items and later pivoted in 2011 to selling fashion and lifestyle products from Indian and international brands. In May 2014 Myntra was acquired by Flipkart in a deal valued at approximately ₹2,000 crore (about US$330 million), and continues to operate as a fashion-focused subsidiary under the broader Flipkart group, which is itself majority-owned by Walmart since 2018. Myntra runs a marketplace and private-label business across categories such as apparel, footwear, accessories, beauty, personal care, and home, supported by a network of supply-chain hubs across India. Myntra is widely regarded as India's largest fashion-and-lifestyle online retailer by gross merchandise value and runs flagship sales events such as the End of Reason Sale and Big Fashion Festival. The company's technology, product, design, and central operations teams are concentrated at its Bengaluru headquarters. Indian fresher and early-career hiring at Myntra typically targets software-engineer, mobile-engineer, data-engineer, data-scientist, product-analyst, and design roles, sourced through structured campus placements at top engineering and design colleges and through direct applications via the Myntra careers page hosted on Greenhouse.
