About Jar
Jar is an Indian fintech application operated by MyJar Technologies and headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The company was founded in 2021 by Nishchay AG and Misbah Ashraf with the goal of building a daily-savings habit for Indian users who do not have a strong existing investment behaviour, by allowing them to save very small amounts of money automatically into digital gold and adjacent regulated products.
The Jar mobile application's core product allows users to round up everyday transactions and convert spare change into 24-karat digital gold held with a regulated custodian, with automatic daily savings, manual one-tap saves, and the ability to redeem holdings either as cash or as physical gold delivered to the user's home. The product surface has expanded to include additional savings and investment offerings such as systematic investment plans into digital gold, gold-jewellery purchases, and partnered savings and investment products with appropriate regulatory partners.
