Hike Private Limited is an Indian consumer technology company headquartered in New Delhi that builds the Rush Gaming Universe, a portfolio of skill-based real-money mobile gaming products. The company's flagship product is the Rush mobile application, a multi-game destination that lets users play casual and skill-based mobile games for real-money rewards alongside friends and other players. Hike was founded in December 2012 by Kavin Bharti Mittal as a joint venture between Bharti SoftBank and originally launched Hike Messenger, an Indian consumer messaging application that grew to more than 100 million registered users at its peak. After several years of competition with global messaging incumbents, Hike pivoted away from messaging and shut down the Hike Messenger product in January 2021. The company then refocused on social and gaming products, including the HikeLand virtual world, before consolidating its strategy around the Rush Gaming Universe and skill-based real-money gaming. Hike has raised institutional capital from investors including Tencent, Foxconn, SoftBank, and Tiger Global.
