About the role

Zscaler is looking for a Staff Software Development Engineer to design, build, and maintain high‑performance browser extensions using React and JavaScript. You will work on security‑focused features that run on every page load, ensuring low latency, minimal memory impact, and a seamless user experience.

Responsibilities

• Convert product requirements and UI/UX designs into clean, well‑tested browser‑extension components.
• Implement security‑sensitive logic that executes on each page load while keeping latency and memory usage low.
• Write modular, readable code and actively contribute to code‑review processes.
• Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests and debug complex issues across background scripts, content scripts, pop‑ups, and extension pages.
• Collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and QA teams to deliver end‑to‑end features.
