Software Development Engineer (Fresher)

About the role

Wohlig Technology is looking for fresh graduates to join as Software Development Engineers in Mumbai. The role involves designing, coding, testing and documenting enterprise‑grade applications using Java, C++, Ruby on Rails and related technologies. Candidates will work on web‑based solutions, relational databases and follow test‑driven development practices.

Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements, design application architecture and produce clean code.
• Develop and maintain web applications using frameworks such as Spring MVC, JSF, Wicket or GWT.
• Write and optimise SQL queries and work with ORM tools like Hibernate and JPA2.
• Apply test‑driven development to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Document designs, flowcharts, diagrams and technical specifications.
• Participate in code reviews, system analysis and suggest improvements to existing processes.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
• Strong foundation in programming concepts, data structures and algorithms.
• Zero to one year of professional experience; fresh graduates with solid academic projects are welcome.

Skills

• Proficiency in Java, C++ or Ruby on Rails.
• Good understanding of relational databases, SQL and ORM (Hibernate, JPA2).
• Experience with at least one web framework (Spring MVC, JSF, Wicket, GWT).
• Familiarity with test‑driven development and software engineering tools.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and diagrams.
