Software Engineer

About the role

Visa is looking for early‑career software engineers to join its Bangalore team. The role involves designing, coding, testing, and maintaining applications while collaborating with stakeholders and using modern tools such as generative AI assistants. Candidates will work in a hybrid setting, spending at least three days a week in the office.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, design solutions, and write clean application code.
• Debug, test, and troubleshoot software defects to ensure quality.
• Prepare and update technical documentation and maintenance procedures.
• Support deployment, installation, and post‑implementation maintenance of applications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and gather stakeholder inputs.
• Assist in project planning activities such as cost estimates and scheduling.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Science or Arts (B.E, B.Tech, B.Sc, BA).
• 0 to 2 years of relevant software development or related experience.
• Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Basic exposure to debugging, testing, and documentation practices.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model with a minimum of three office days.
• Interest in leveraging generative AI tools like ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot.
