Software Engineer II – InGenius

About the role

Upland Software is seeking a proactive Software Engineer II to join the InGenius team in India. The role involves building browser‑based applications and integrating CRM and telephony systems, working remotely with a global development group, and leveraging TypeScript, Angular, Node.js and AWS serverless services.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features across front‑end and back‑end stacks.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in code and production environments.
• Collaborate with teammates to set objectives and create cohesive architecture.
• Own feature development from conception through delivery.
• Balance technical debt against new functionality.
• Participate actively in peer code reviews.
• Follow established coding standards and best practices.

Eligibility

• 4‑5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work remotely.
• Comfortable collaborating with diverse, global teams.
• Flexibility to attend meetings across multiple time zones.

Skills

• Primary: TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, GraphQL, AWS serverless (CDK, DynamoDB, IAM, Cognito, AppSync, Lambda, Step Functions), JavaScript, Webpack, deep understanding of browser internals (DOM, CSSOM, rendering pipeline, event loop).
• Secondary (nice‑to‑have): API design, CRM platforms (Salesforce, Dynamics, ServiceNow), Python, AI/LLM tools (Hugging Face, GPT, Claude), prompt engineering, AI developer assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
