Analyst - Data Scientist

About the role

The Analyst – Data Scientist will create and launch scalable AI and Generative AI solutions that enhance United Airlines' customer experience and operational efficiency. Working with Python, SQL and large language models, you will build production‑grade pipelines, conduct advanced analysis, and ensure model reliability through MLOps and observability practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy AI and Generative AI applications that drive business value.
• Build production‑ready data pipelines and workflows using Python, SQL and relational databases.
• Perform exploratory analysis and feature engineering on structured and unstructured data for AI use cases.
• Apply prompt‑engineering techniques, run LLM experiments and evaluate outputs for relevance, safety and accuracy.
• Create Retrieval‑Augmented Generation pipelines and integrate agentic AI frameworks for automated reasoning.
• Implement MLOps and AI observability practices, monitor model behavior, and communicate insights and risks to stakeholders.

Eligibility

• Master’s degree in a STEM discipline such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or related field.
• 1‑2 years of professional experience in AI engineering, data science, analytics or machine learning, with hands‑on model production experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, solid software‑engineering fundamentals, and version‑control using Git.
• Experience with large relational datasets and platforms like Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, BigQuery or Teradata.
• Practical knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, agentic AI, and MLOps.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and legal authorization to work in India without sponsorship.
