About the role

TCS HackQuest Season 11 is an online capture‑the‑flag style cybersecurity competition aimed at students graduating in 2027. Participants tackle real‑world security challenges, earn points by finding vulnerabilities and capturing flags, and compete for cash prizes and a direct interview with TCS’s Cybersecurity Center of Excellence.

Responsibilities

Solve a variety of security challenges covering web exploitation, cryptography, reverse engineering, forensics and OSINT.
Capture flags within the allotted time to accumulate points and improve ranking.
Use industry‑standard tools such as Burp Suite, Wireshark, Nmap and CyberChef to analyse and exploit targets.
Collaborate with peers, share insights and continuously improve problem‑solving speed.

Eligibility

Students graduating in the 2027 batch.
Enrolled in B.Tech, B.E, M.Tech, M.E, BCA, MCA, B.Sc or M.Sc programmes.
Must possess a valid TCS NextStep CT/DT reference number (IT category).

Skills

Understanding of web vulnerabilities like SQL injection and XSS.
Basic cryptography concepts and encoding/decoding techniques.
Familiarity with reverse engineering and binary analysis.
Forensic analysis and open‑source intelligence (OSINT) skills.
Proficiency with tools such as Burp Suite, Wireshark, Nmap and CyberChef.
