About the role
Smart Data Solutions is looking for a Software Engineer I to join its healthcare automation team in Sholinghur. The role focuses on building, deploying and maintaining machine‑learning‑driven applications that streamline medical record processing, claim operations and other critical workflows. Candidates will work on end‑to‑end model pipelines, improve existing AI solutions, and collaborate closely with business analysts to translate process gaps into intelligent automation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain machine‑learning models that power healthcare automation solutions.
- Create new applications that integrate LLMs, RAG techniques and other AI capabilities.
- Build and optimise the underlying infrastructure required for model training, serving and monitoring.
- Analyse legacy processes, automate them using AI, and continuously refine the solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in model performance or deployment pipelines.
- Document work, communicate progress clearly, and support cross‑functional teams as needed.
Eligibility
- Four‑year degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- At least one year of hands‑on experience with machine learning, natural language processing or deep‑learning projects.
- Demonstrated experience with large language models (LLMs) and retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) techniques.
- Proficiency in a modern object‑oriented language such as Python, Java, C# or C++.
- Fundamental knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and Unix‑like operating systems.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and basic containerisation concepts.
Skills
- Python programming and related ML libraries.
- Machine‑learning frameworks, NLP toolkits and LLM/RAG workflows.
- SQL for data retrieval and manipulation.
- Git for source‑code management.
- Unix/Linux command‑line proficiency.
- Understanding of container concepts (Docker, Kubernetes basics).
