Reporting/Finance Analyst (Freshers)

About the role

Shell Centre is looking for fresh accounting graduates to join as Reporting/Finance Analysts in Chennai. The role involves supporting daily financial operations, preparing management information reports, and ensuring compliance with Indian and international accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and audit schedules.
• Generate and maintain Management Information (MI) reports for internal stakeholders.
• Support month‑end and quarter‑end closing activities, including data reconciliation.
• Collaborate with the finance team to analyse variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Utilise SAP (or similar ERP) to record transactions and extract financial data.
• Participate in ad‑hoc financial projects and process improvement initiatives.

Eligibility

• Qualified accountant qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or an equivalent credential.
• Strong interest in a finance career and willingness to work irregular hours during peak periods.
• Clear communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Skills

• Good understanding of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and IFRS.
• Hands‑on knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems (SERP is a plus).
• Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
• Proficiency in preparing management information and financial reports.
• Effective teamwork and stakeholder management abilities.
