Sarvam Internship 2026 - Frontend & Backend Intern Roles

Sarvam is hiring for two engineering intern roles — a Frontend Intern (On-Device AI) and a Backend Intern (Inference Pipelines & Diagnostics) — in Bengaluru for freshers from the 2025 and 2026 batches.

About the role

The Frontend Intern builds polished, responsive interfaces for AI products used at population scale — turning Figma designs into production-grade UI in React and React Native with TypeScript. The Backend Intern owns meaningful workstreams in inference pipeline infrastructure and diagnostics API services, building the systems that serve AI models reliably at scale.

Responsibilities

• Build UI: Build responsive, production-grade UI components in React and React Native using TypeScript.
• API Integration: Consume and integrate REST APIs to connect frontend interfaces with backend services.
• Design to Code: Translate Figma designs into pixel-accurate, accessible, cross-device UI.
• Inference Services: Build and optimise backend services for LLM inference pipelines in Python or Node.js.
• Diagnostics APIs: Develop and maintain diagnostics API services for model observability and health monitoring.

Eligibility

• Background in Computer Science, AI/ML, Design, or Human-Computer Interaction.
• Batch Year: 2025 and 2026 students and graduates.
• Technical Skills: Frontend – React and TypeScript (mandatory), REST APIs, CSS fundamentals. Backend – Python or Node.js, REST API design, SQL and one NoSQL database, Git, and basic AWS or GCP exposure.
