Senior Software Engineer – Frontend/Fullstack, UI Platform

About the role

Rippling is looking for a senior engineer to lead the design and development of its UI platform. You will build complex, high‑performance front‑end applications, create reusable UI components, and collaborate with backend teams to deliver end‑to‑end product features.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain large‑scale frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
• Architect reusable UI systems and component libraries for internal platforms.
• Ensure performance, accessibility, testing, and maintainability across the UI stack.
• Work across the full stack, contributing to APIs, services, and data models where needed.
• Own projects from concept through launch, handling ambiguous requirements independently.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into reliable user experiences.

Eligibility

• 6–9 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong frontend expertise, especially with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of component design, state management, performance, accessibility, and testing.
• Experience building UI platforms, reusable component libraries, or developer‑facing frameworks.
• Comfortable with backend concepts such as APIs, services, data modeling, and configuration systems.
• Proven ability to drive projects end‑to‑end with minimal supervision.
