Data Analyst

About the role

S&P Global is hiring fresh graduates for a Data Analyst position in Bangalore. You will work on extracting, validating, and analysing data related to energy assets, research industry information, and communicate insights to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform data extraction, validation, and analysis for wells, pipelines, power plants, and transmission assets.
• Research energy companies, operators, and infrastructure projects across regions.
• Analyze regulatory filings, technical reports, and industry publications.
• Maintain and update databases with new wells, assets, and related information.
• Communicate with industry stakeholders to validate and enrich data.
• Coordinate with internal teams to convey project requirements, progress, and data‑quality concerns.

Eligibility

• Any graduate degree.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and meet client timelines.
• Previous software development experience through internships or projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile principles is advantageous.
