About the role

Salesforce is looking for a Product Security Engineer to join its Security Foundations team in Hyderabad. The role focuses on proactively discovering and fixing systemic security risks across Salesforce products, using attack‑surface management, secure‑coding practices, and automated risk‑remediation techniques. You will work closely with product managers and engineers to embed security into the product lifecycle and influence roadmap decisions.

Responsibilities

Partner with product and engineering groups to drive mitigation of identified security issues and ensure root‑cause resolution.
Lead the adoption of proactive security guardrails such as automated secure‑coding checks and centralized validation libraries.
Update standards, policies, and procedures to prevent recurrence of systemic flaws.
Educate developers on secure‑coding techniques and common anti‑patterns.
Review design documents and source code for security weaknesses and triage findings to uncover broader patterns.
Develop scalable remediation approaches, leveraging AI and process automation, and present risk narratives to senior leadership.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to think like an attacker while recommending defensive measures.
Experience with secure development lifecycle improvements and threat modeling across application and infrastructure domains.
