Automation Engineer

About the role

Quest Global is seeking a fresh graduate Automation Engineer for its Thiruvananthapuram office. The role focuses on building and maintaining test automation frameworks, creating automated test scripts for web, API, mobile and desktop applications, and integrating these tests into CI/CD pipelines to boost software quality and delivery speed.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks and reusable scripts.
• Create and run automated test cases covering UI, API, mobile and desktop platforms.
• Integrate test suites into Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitHub Actions pipelines.
• Analyse requirements to spot automation opportunities and implement solutions.
• Monitor test execution, troubleshoot failures and generate detailed reports.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts and stakeholders to ensure quality standards.
• Perform functional, regression, integration and end‑to‑end testing.
• Produce metrics, dashboards and quality insights for continuous improvement.
• Support production releases and validate deployments.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, Java, C#, JavaScript or PowerShell.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one automation framework such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, UFT or Robot Framework.
• Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and exposure to Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies and version control (Git).
• Analytical mindset with good problem‑solving abilities.
