About the role

Philips is actively hiring across two Apprentice roles in Bangalore (Bengaluru) — the Apprentice Software Developer Trainee programme and a general Apprentice Trainee opening.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on Project Work: Contribute to live Philips healthcare projects under engineering mentorship.
• Coding & Testing: For the Software Developer role, write clean modular code in Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript with unit tests.
• Bug Triage & Investigation: Investigate, reproduce, and document defects and collaborate on resolutions.
• Documentation: Maintain design documents, runbooks, API specifications, and inline comments.
• Code & Peer Reviews: Participate in peer reviews applying Philips’ quality and secure-coding standards.

Eligibility

• High School Diploma plus active student enrolment at a university, college, or vocational institute — typically B.E / B.Tech / BCA / MCA in CS, IT, or related fields.
• Batch Year: 2025 and 2026.
• Academic Performance: Minimum 60% or 6.0 CGPA throughout academics is preferred.
• Programming Skills: For the SDE Trainee role — working knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, Python, C#, JavaScript) and basic data structures.
